COME ON OVER HERE
By Geza Keller, Jerry McCann, and Sven-Erik Seaholm
Originally titled, "Keep The Faith," this song was written in 1997 as a dance song, while BTC was in its heyday. This pop song was a crowd favorite that the band played to close every showcase in which they performed, and also helped them get signed by Angelic Records.
Years later, Jerry heard a love song in the words and suggested Geza slow it down. With a title change and some minor adjustments to the lyrics, this song now has a "come hither" feel to it.
Of course, the old version might just show up on the next album as originally written. Why mess with a good thing?
LYRICS:
Can’t you feel there’s something in the air
There’s a little bit of magic, everywhere
And I’ve got a secret that I’d like to share
So won’t you come close I’ll whisper in your ear
Don’t you know how I feel?
It’s not part of some big deal
So if you feel like dancing and jumping in the air
Well, come on over here and let's dance right there
And if you do, I’ll know how much you care I’ve got keep the faith you’ll always be there
I’ve got to keep the faith, everywhere
I can hear the song in your heart
I knew it right from the start
A simple little melody
That you’d sing to me
And somehow those notes just set me free
Don’t you know, how I feel?
It’s not part of some big deal
So if you feel like dancing and jumping in the air
Well come on over here
Let's dance right there
And if you do, I’ll know how much you care
I’ve got keep the faith you’ll always be there
Can’t you feel what we both know?
This is how it’s supposed to go
So if you feel like dancing and jumping in the air
Well, come on over here and let's dance right there
And if you do I’ll know how much you care
I’ve got to keep the faith
You’ll always be there
